Information Collection

The primary reason that we collect and maintain customer information is to serve you and administer your customer relationship.

Information Use and Disclosure

We use and share customer information within the Americans For Financial Independence, Inc. (A4FI) family of companies. We share customer information with outside firms only for specific purposes. We may disclose customer information to financial service providers such as investment companies, insurance companies, trust companies, and investment advisors where and when you have specifically applied for a service or product. We sometimes disclose limited customer information with outside financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements, being, name, address and business conducted within the A4FI family of firms. We disclose information only when we believe that it is important for the offer, or necessary to provide you with a premium or rate quote. Such disclosure is subject to confidentiality provisions and restrictions on other use. We also disclose certain customer information to government agencies, consumer reporting agencies and other outside parties as permitted or required by the Federal Privacy Act and other applicable laws. These disclosures are made for specific, limited purposes, such as to verify identity, to meet customer service expectations, to verify information for prompt approvals, responding to a subpoena, or to make certain information a matter of public record. Our policies and practices regarding the collection and disclosure of information about former customers are the same.

Confidentiality Protection Practices

We maintain procedures and technology designed to prevent unauthorized access to customer information, including:

  • Regular update and testing
  • Confidentiality agreements prohibiting independent use
  • Procedures requiring business need for employee access
  • Physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with federal regulations; backup copies, firewalls, etc.
